  31. This is a conversion of the PlutRieve program to run under a Foozle
  32. setup instead of a vanilla *.MSG base.  It gets the directory and
  33. tagnames from the Foozle.areas file instead of the TrapToss Fido.cfg,
  34. and maintains the 214-byte message headers instead of the plain 190-byte
  35. *.MSG headers.

  37. PlutRieve is a program to automatically scan messages in your BadMail
  38. directory, and retrieve them into your ordinary message bases.
  39.  
  40. Messages get into the BADMAIL area for a variety of reasons, and a lot
  41. of them ARE bad messages - you wouldn't want them in distribution.  But
  42. I find that the majority of messages that go into BAD do so for two main
  43. reasons:  (a) it's a new area and you haven't set it up in your config
  44. or (b) the system sending you the messages isn't configured in the
  45. export-to line, due to an error, or a changing node number.

  47. It's for these two problems that PlutRieve comes to the rescue.
  48. Previously these messages would be very difficult to rescue, involving a
  49. lot of manual work copying messages about and possibly editing the
  50. messages at the binary level.  Also, any messages saved this way would
  51. have an untidy "AREA:" line at the head of the text when sent to other
  52. systems.

  54. PlutRieve will be a very useful program to use in conjunction with
  55. Foozle - once you've used it I guarantee satisfaction!
